Leadership Mainland is the longest-running leadership development program in Galveston County. For 35 years, we have been the premier training ground for the visionaries, innovators, and civic-minded professionals who shape the future of Texas City and La Marque.

We select only 25 participants each year from a diverse pool of applicants. Those chosen for this prestigious cohort will:

The 35th year kicks off in February 2026 with a mandatory overnight retreat. Sessions run monthly through November 2026, concluding with a formal graduation celebration.
This all-inclusive fee covers your lodging, group transportation (including the Austin trip), custom apparel, most meals, and all program materials.
Applicants must have the full support of their employer to attend all monthly sessions.
To maintain the prestige of the program, attendance is vital. The Orientation and Team Building Retreat are mandatory. To ensure the integrity of the cohort experience, more than two absences from other sessions will result in release from the program.
